Lab grown gems in general are just plain better

They're exactly the same as "natural" gems, but without all the mining and exploitation and monopolies
They also have fewer flaws than natural gems

Lab grown diamonds have a terrible carbon footprint, though it's still a shit ton better for the environment than mining.

Re-using what we have is even better.
