Thats not been my experience at all. The salaried jobs Ive come across and worked almost always have you working unpaid hours.

Over 13 years, 4 different salaried roles I have averaged well under 40 hours/week tbh

in fact the only one where Id ever occasionally work more than 40 was salary non exempt so I got overtime pay from time to time
