I got mine monetized last august and you'd be surprised how much money you actually make, I was under the impression id only make 5 cents as well
Both, I guess, but right now sounds more interesting (and how long you've been at it).
Nice! What are the requirements to be eligible for monetization?3000-4000 watch hours from the viewers, and about 500-1,000 subscribers. And after that, you'll have to be approved from YT. Also, congrats @billman1000 !
I have a dormant YT channel with a few really successful videos and I got an email a few weeks back saying I was eligible to apply for monetization. I'd have no idea what exactly to make if I wanted to keep the channel going. It feels like all types of content are oversaturated now.
Having an unusual pet seems to be an easy money maker. Some of those videos don't have commentary or anything, just the animal walking around to funny music or whatever.
TC what's your content?
CongratsTyvm sir.
the IRS is prepared for youMaybe youtube does tax withholding for you.
I was once asked permission to reference one of my videos, and one other time I was asked if would consent to my channel being shouted out/linked to. I wasn't offered any money though. :/You can turn those off before you upload your vids so you don't have to deal with it. Also, try to make a secondary email just for YT only for any business inquiries or collaborations. But also expect spams/scams from it.
