For supermarkets it's probably just a ladder in their back stockroom that leads up to the roof.

If it is part of a shopping center there might be an exterior ladder behind another connected store.

I doubt she could get away with going up and down from the inside.

It's amazing she lasted almost a year before being caught. Must have only come out at night.
