Shows I've liked in the past:

Lost
Prison Break
24
Suits
Battlestar Galactica
Walking Dead
The Boyz
House

Tried The Wire and Oz but they are just too heavy for me at the moment. Want something easy to watch and not too serious.

Not interested in comedy recommendations. Got Curb on the go at the moment and also just finished off Frasier which is a GOAT show tbh.

I'll recommend House. Most of the seasons are really good, with season 6 being kind of bad. Mix of medical mystery, comedy, drama, sometimes action.

Burn notice
Damn, there is another show I wanna recommend, but I cannot remember the name. Its about a group of conmen that help out ordinary people that are getting screwed over by the rich and powerful.

BEEF, on Netflix. Korean-American show I think, starring the dude who played Glenn in The Walking Dead (Steven Yeun). It's comedy, but also drama. I watched it recently and I thought it was really good.

Pretty much the same show. Leverage and Burn notice. Aired in the same time frame. I wonder if it's a DS9-B5 thing. Was shopped around someone liked the idea but didn't want to deal with the creator. So they did their version in house. They make minor changes to not be accused of ripping the other off. In B5s case it was first, didn't get get picked up, some exec said we will do our own version, guessing that B5 wasn't going to get picked up. Well history is now history. Both were good shows in their own right.

I liked what I watched of Leverage and Burn notice so I think it's good they both did their own thing

Every time this topic comes up I'll give the same 3

Fringe
Black Sails
Deadwood

Scifi, Pirates, and a Western

Warehouse 13, which used to be free to watch on IMDB but sadly looks like it isn't anymore. Ordinary objects with mysterious properties are hunted down and brought to be safely stored inside Warehouse 13. They're kind of like SCP objects, but aren't always malicious in nature. It's 5 seasons long, with season 5 being the shortest.

My SO introduced me to the series and we watched it together back in 2019 or 2020.

Black Books, which you can watch on youtube for free, is a British comedy 18 episodes long. Very funny, episodes are less than 30 minutes each. Another series my SO introduced to me.

I don't care for Scifi but I love the other two genres and honestly these were two of my favorite series. I tend to really like most of the HBO and Starz made series but these two were REALLY good. It's just a damn shame that Deadwood should have went on longer than 3 seasons. Sure we got the movie 13 years later but it wasn't the same. Should have had at least a 4th season. Out of all the shows to be ended early that one really stung. Still bugs me.

And Black Sails was just incredibly well done. Looked beautiful and was acted well with a large cast of a lot of actors that I didn't previously know so I didn't associate them with another role and I watch a LOT of tv so that was pretty cool.

Those are my rotations, with the exception of Fringe. I watch that every 2 years. I usually watch them during the summer. Its been a thing I've done for a decade. Started with Xfiles, then Fringe ended. I'll add Person of Interest to my list. If scii isnt your thing really it's mostly a action/drama show. The Machine is the only sci-fi part of it.

I have to add another recommendation. I just have to.

Six Feet Under. Brilliant show and one of the few shows that actually handled the ending well in my opinion.

The Good Place

Woman died and goes to heaven, but it turns out they've mixed her up with another woman with the same name. She was supposed to go to hell.

It's a very fun sitcom.
