It made a lot of bad Pokemon viable.

It also made a lot of OP Pokemon more OP.

I like the idea, but it could have been implemented better.

Worst part about Mega evolutions was species-specific held items. Should have just made one Mega Stone instead of 47.

Also, why is there an Aerodactylite? Why is there a Mega Stone for a Pokemon that existed millions of years ago but was created 3000 years ago? Canonically, Aerodactyl wasn't revived until 1996.
