Controllers break easily so you have to spend more to buy new ones. They did it on purpose. It's a fucking scam but more people don't realize it.

They did, and from my experience, they didn't do anything. The one I got back seemed to behave no differently than when I sent it in.

There's really no law that says that. Controllers wear out. Nintendo didn't lie, they even offered free repairs. They're not obligated to any more than that.
Had nothing but problems with Joycons.

Sure, send in for repairs. Then get back controllers with a different button issue.

I gave up and use the button remapping.
