So they do they recommend taking out a second mortgage to buy that, or are they running specials on kidneys right now?

Its gonna be $460. $40 cheaper than the Rivendell set. As a huge LotR and Lego fan, if I had an extra $1k lying around I wouldnt bat an eye at buying them both.

As a builder, I love it. Its a fun thing that lasts several hours. I dont usually build them all in one go. I space it out after work or on the weekends. I would kill for the Titanic set.

To be fair, TC got the piece count wrong in the title. It's 5471 pieces. The other number is the set number.

Day 1 buy. I have the complete run of LotR and Hobbit sets, this will be a fantastic addition.

Do you have them all made and on a display shelf somewhere? Because that I'd like to see.

I don't know shit about LotR but that's a really cool looking set... Looks like it could be a fun build...

Not currently. Rivendell is on display on my front room coffee table, the rest are boxed up. I have far too many Lego sets to put them all on display so they get rotated based on what the husband and I feel like building at the time. We have a storage room and a dedicated display room. We have a ~800-1k sq ft unfinished basement, and we plan to eventually finish it and make it the grand Lego room. Still won't be enough space to display everything lol.

More pieces = more fine grain detals
Looks kinda underwhelming tbh.
don't care
When will they just make all of Middle Earth Lego LOTR style?

Was happy they finally revealed the new Sonic and Animal Crossing Lego's today too. Unfortunately they're all pretty lame besides the Knuckles and the Master Emerald one. Kind of a shame since I loved every single Animal Crossing one in the first wave.

I like the Super Sonic and Eggman... Mostly because I want an Eggman minifig but didn't want to buy a set and end up with a third regular Sonic... I'll have two Shadow figs though...

Did they reveal more than the K.K Slider and Dodo Airlines Animal Crossing sets?

I wish I had display cases, but I have several sets decorating our apartment. Some that Ive yet to take out after the move.

Does something ominous happen if the Lego piece you step on in the middle of the night is the Eye of Sauron?
See you next Wednesday.

At least if you can't afford your first mortgage after buying it, you can live in the box it comes in for a while.
