I'd personally only been doing Monday through Wednesday until you started doing the dailies. I'm shooting for under 5 minutes on Mondays but realistically have been getting 6 or 7 lately and average 8:22.

I've not really looked at crosswords until lately. The mini suckered me in, though I'll never be as quick at it as some peeps here lol. The daily is a bit of fun, and youre right in that it starts out easier on Monday and gets more difficult as the week rolls on. I'll have to look at the archive to see how i go with some of the more difficult ones.

Speaking of archives, I've noticed lately that Wordle has an archive too. Is that available to everyone or only those subscribed, like the Wordle bot?

I saw that the puzzle wasn't working with the clues as written, then correctly realized that the clue about braids meant that the letters were twisted in some way, but I thought it was the three sets of across clues that were twisted instead of down, which makes no sense because it's clearly supposed to be four pairs that are braided.

I too had to use the checker, but once I corrected my errors the rest just fell into place. To be honest I didn't really notice the theme. I'm not sure what you mean by the clue about the braids. I'm using the NYT Games app and I didn't see any clue about braids (unless you mean the coloured squares in which I didn't associate them with braids at all).

Edit: I have noticed missing features with the app in Wordle (the Wordle Bot wasn't in the app until a few days ago, and even then it wouldn't load and just returned an error) so I wouldn't be surprised if I wasn't seeing a vital clue to the daily crossword.
