I preferred Dark Chronicle. Wish they'd both get a steam portyea dark cloud 2 was the better game
I do not like playing as Goro

I loved hearing this song while playing golf
It's the number one game that needs a remaster IMO. Just update the graphics and controls to be smoother and it'd be the perfect game.I think you need to make the procedural generation a bit more sophisticated as well, or at least make the dungeon crawling a bit more streamlined.
I think you need to make the procedural generation a bit more sophisticated as well, or at least make the dungeon crawling a bit more streamlined.I haven't played the game in a long time... But the procedurally generated stuff is just like where the back rooms are and what restrictions might be on the floors right? And the enemies. I don't see what's wrong with that approach, though again I haven't played it in a hot minute

I don't see what's wrong with that approach, though again I haven't played it in a hot minuteIt"s also the extremely rudimentary dungeon layouts. There is very, very little variety beyond finding a key that opens a locked door or switching to another party member to do something only they can do. There appears to be almost no balancing, either; some rooms have nothing, and some have 7 enemies that all target you at once.
Such a vibe. 2 is good but it's not the first game.Dark Cloud 1 is basically a tech demo compared to 2.

White Knight Chronicles came out and took influence from it. Wasn't as great as people hoped but I loved it.
Did Dark Cloud 2 have a minigolf minigame? I remember finding it super chill building towns etc but from memory the gameplay got a little repetitive.
I never got a chance to play DC1.
In the second game, there were sealed floors forcing to you to use Monica against giant robot enemies and hard shelled monster, types of enemies Monica cannot fight at all. Again, forcing you to stock up on damaging items and lose it when you run out and don't have the floor key. Years later I learned you can buy an item to remove the seal on a dungeon floor. It's very expensive but it let me beat the game.
I don't remember this at all what the fuck, I gotta replay this againTo be fair, it's just one floor in the entire game that does this. It's the 4th dungeon or the one where you explore undersea caverns.
It overwhelmingly received a lot of criticism on the PS3 board but I LOVED it. I put 1,350 hours into that game in the first 7 months. Did everything possible. Got platinum trophy and still played for hundreds of hours for fun and just helping people.
I made 5 of the best swords for my characters so I always had all 4 elements of fire, ice, wind, earth and one non elemental sword just for magic enemies. I highly enjoyed the Georama aspect it that was definitely influenced from Dark Cloud series. I enjoyed decorating my little georama and filling it with townspeople and then farming items after quests.
Such a good game. Ive always been a Level-5 fan and feel that game was really good honestly. Fun single player story mode and an awesome online. Enjoyed the quests, the gameplay, the art style, the saturated bright color palette. Just an all over great game to me. Will always be one of my favorites on PS3.
Blew my damn mind when the game kept going after beating it lolDo you mean
I never finished that final tower dungeon though.I did. :) ItsA hundred floors filled with super tough enemies, without Atla, and when you're done you get a sword you're probably barely gonna use at that point anyway? Yeah no thanks, ain't nobody got time for that.
