I never owned any of their music. My own prison did well and then a couple years later their 2nd album Human Clay had the two big hits Higher and With Arms Wide Open. I thought they were ok. I wouldnt necessarily change the channel if I heard them today.

That is the last I heard of them because basically right around 2000 I mostly stopped following new music and admittedly stayed stuck in the past on music from the 50s through the 90s that I love.

I have a soft spot for their first album, My Own Prison. I was really into them back then, and it's actually a pretty good album. People who pretend to hate them probably never heard it.

Where did the hate on Creed even come from? I feel like I woke up one day and all of a sudden everyone had a Creed joke in their back pocket, and I have never once seen a Creed joke fail to land with a group of people.

I used to joke with coworkers that the two worst bands were Creed and Nickleback, but Nickleback sucked worse than Creed.

My man. Alter Bridge is a far better band than Creed no doubt. One of my favorites.

I always love people talking about Alter Bridge. Walk the Sky and The Last Hero were okay, probably their weakest, but the last one Pawns and Kings is legitimately amazing.

I agree they are at their best when they lean into their progressive metal ways.

Last time I did karaoke I sung Jesus Take The Wheel but in the style of Creed.

It works frighteningly well.

I barely remember anything from The Last Hero. Pawns and Kings has such better songs to me. Island of Fools and The Otherside are the only songs I really dig on TLH, the rest sound depressingly average.

Didn't help the album came out after Fortress which was a certified marvel
