Did the barista speak in vocal fry?
Starbucks nationally has been raising prices every month, nothing to do with local labor costs. And, yeah, they actually missed sales goals and blamed it on some BS instead of obvious price issues.
The price remained unchanged for about a year before that. My wife is the one told me about the drink when she was working at Starbucks. I'd say it is a combo of situations causing the prices to go up.Or, which has been proven time and again, maybe it's corporate greed.
Or, which has been proven time and again, maybe it's corporate greed. He's literally never going to admit that.

Called it.
Sorry for being reasonable and not always pigeonholing everything into one cause and keeping an open mind.I'll keep that in mind next time you make a topic crying about California, or Oregon, or whatever other liberal area you're obsessing over this week.

What is the drink?
I now hardly ever go, only if Im away from my house and need a caffeine boost, and I stick to a small iced shaken espresso with soy milk
Its already a lot with the soy upcharge (used to be free btw back when it was the Starbucks doubleshot on ice) but at least it doesnt break $5
A year ago my favorite drink cost $8.75 I shudder to think what it costs now.

How do people determine they like such a specific drink like this?
I only drink "plain" coffee, so it's confusing to me. I just like it black or a latte.
