I post clips of my cool, stupid and glitchy MH Sunbreak and Tears of the Kingdom gameplay here just for fun.

Would be cool if they made a Spider-Man movie that didn't have a team up aspect to it. The whole world forgot who Peter Parker is, should make his character feel alone against unsurmountable odds then the symbiote shows up.

On some level, I agree. But at the same time, I'm guessing that since we had two iterations of Spidey that worked solo, they probably want to take advantage of the fact that he's in the MCU.

I also wouldn't be surprised if Sony's deal with Disney requires that other MCU heroes show up.

Miles is kind of boring. I also feel like Peter's story still has a lot of legs. Save Miles for when he's actually getting replaced. Co-Spider-Man's are usually really boring.

I've seen some other related rumors and I'm sure some of it is true, but this just looks like a laundry list of obvious things and popular fan wishes.

Actually where does Hollands spider-man go from here? A spider-man fully untethered from his life as peter parker solves a vast amount of Spider-mans struggles, which usually involve spider-man duties fucking up his personal life as Peter.

Just because Miles is going to be introduced doesn't necessarily mean he's going to become Spider-Man anytime soon. It could be as simple as a cameo or a quick scene.

Fair enough but, unless they just show some random little kid with a plan to use him in ten years, they're probably going to cast someone to play Spider-Man within a movie or two.

I can see 4 introducing Miles, 5 having Miles actively work with Peter as civilian (like the first Spider-Man PS4 game) and 6 being the official passing of the torch. IF they really are doing another trilogy with Tom Holland.

Thats been all of the movies except no way home. Aside from that using popular heroes to plop up unpopular ones has always been a common thing in comics.

On another note a major failing of the MCU and also DCEU has been failing to establish a large supervillain community. Like, what is even the point of the avengers most of the time? They dont need the whole team to smash hydra bases regularly. Same for the JL.

The Avengers only come together for the big stuff. Same as the comics. They might hang out at Avengers base but are usually doing their own thing. The team is just a break in case of emergency thing.

MCU Spider i literally Miles. Everything about him is a Miles.

Being a fancy school.
Having a nerdy Side kick.
Working with someone much older, who is hero.
Not being sure of himself.

Biden is the greatest President ever.
Are they going to call it Spider-man 4: The Quest for Home?

Yeah my biggest critique of MCU spider-man is that he really never had to struggle alone like the other spider-men in far from home did. Hell even the spiderverse spider people.

I think a big part of what makes peter and Miles different is that Peter didnt have that guidance and so he knows what its like when he steps up to help Miles

He really is a weird character now, he was spawned as replacement spider man and was popular enough to survive the purge of his original place but now with him and Peter co-existing as Spider Man it takes away from his character and purpose effectively turning him into a Robin like character for Peter or a "Well miles is here, how long before Peter dies so miles can take over?"

Let's look at this way, imagine if Terry Mcgennis is so popular that DC takes his entire purpose and timeline away from him and shove him into modern day Batman stories with Batman not too old to kick ass anymore but Terry still goes by the Batman name and every time he's in a story people are waiting to see how long until Bruce dies and Terry takes over for good. That's Miles IMO which is why I sigh, it's not like I hate him, it's just he went from being a successor to the Spider Man name with the original dead to being another Robin like character and that's especially insulting because Batman has like 10 different "Robin" like characters now on call if he can't do shit alone, freaking Harley Quinn is one of those people now. It's absurd

I think that's the direction they're going to go in with the MCU. The movies can't keep on the same actors forever which is why legacy characters are great for superhero movies.

I think it makes perfect sense that they'd do 3 more movies with Tom Holland, his Peter retires after realizing he's been doing this Spider-Man shit for way too long and hasn't lived a normal life (No Way Home sets this up perfectly), and he lets Miles take over full-time.

That or they just kill him off.

With no supervillain community they arent really doing anything alone for months or years on end. At least not until whatever one off villain for their next movie appears. Annnnd is subsequently killed off by the end.

I actually feel like the MCU has done okay in this regard. Many MCU movies start off with the hero already fighting some bad guy or organization before the main plot and antagonist take center stage (like Winter Soldier or Thor Ragnarok), implying that they're still doing shit and fighting minor bad guys in the time between movie appearances. The shared universe thing actually helps with this since you can have characters cameo in other shit before their next movie. It was moreso an issue for stuff like the Raimi Spider-Man movies, where it seems like Spidey only fights like one bad guy per year.

In other cases, it's because the movies might take place only mere weeks or even days/minutes apart.
