A U.S. bankruptcy court trustee is planning to shut down conspiracy theorist Alex Jones Infowars media platform and liquidate its assets to help pay the $1.5 billion in lawsuit judgments Jones owes for repeatedly calling the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting a hoax.
I dont often wish for peoples lives to be ruined, but Alex Jones getting fucked over for the rest of his life would absolutely be just for what he did to the families that fucking lost children in a school shooting.

The dude just had no shame. It's a truly awful thing he did.

"They hate our children!" Fake cried the man who became wealthy by saying that a massacre was fake and the children slaughtered in it "crisis actors".
Had a friend deep down that rabbit hole in 2010/2011.
He told me to listen to it, so I tried. for like 3 minutes.
I couldn't, still can't. Even from trying to view it as entertainment.
Its just... depressing.

So I don't really know how payment for lawsuits and civil suits work. Does Jones get to live comfortably on his assumedly millions+ dollar home with a nice juicy 10+ million bank account, or is every asset he owns being turned over to find money and he only gets to keep the bare minimum for a reasonable living?I found this in an AP report from two weeks ago:
Many of Jones personal assets will be sold off, but his primary home in the Austin area and some other belongings are exempt from bankruptcy liquidation. He already has moved to sell his Texas ranch worth about $2.8 million, a gun collection and other assets to pay debts.
