Even if Harris was impeached it wouldn't prevent her from running for president. It would just be to try to make her look bad.

Theoretically if she was impeached and then convicted in the Senate she could be barred from holding public office but she'd have to sacrifice a baby on live TV or something for that to happen.

Needless to say this impeachment is completely frivolous and only happening because she's now the presumptive Democratic nominee for President.

My understanding is her job was to talk to the leaders of countries who have large migrant groups leaving. Mayorkas was the one actually in charge of handling the border, though right-wing media & politicians, have been referring to her as "the border czar", which is not only a term they created, but literally built a resolution (think part of her impeachment) and Dems were dunking on them for literally referring to her as a term they created and claiming Biden called her that with no evidence.

How official is that? It's not like he created a position equivalent of a cabinet position for her to run. He gave her a project to help him out but she didn't gain control over immigration the same way a cabinet secretary would be in charge of a sector of government.

I dunno when the President says he's appointing someone to do something it's pretty official to me. Those countries she was talking to had to understand the things she said were the official positions of the United States of America or else they wouldn't take her seriously.

OK, I miss spoke. Not how official but how big. Whatever they work on is not the scale of a treaty as that would have to go through Congress. What were the realistic expectations of these talks?

That says she's basically there to figure out why people are fleeing those 4 countries and figure out how to remedy it.

It has nothing to do with the actual line on a map and everything to do with figuring out ways to make those countries worthy of staying, rather than marching thousands of miles.
