Joining the US Army was the best decision I ever made. It's a shame today's kids are afraid to serve.More like they aren't brainwashed.
More like they aren't brainwashed.This
You can "retire" at 38, but you won't see that money until you're 59 1/2.
How did it determine the 38 number?18+20
This country isn't worth fighting forIf you feel that way, why live here?
If you feel that way, why live here? Are you gonna pay the cost and sort out the paperwork for him to move? No? Neither is anyone else. That's why most people stay where they are if they don't specifically have a strong reason not to, even if other places may theoretically be a bit better.
I remember in elementary school they took us on a field trip to the army base here. They showed us the living conditions, and how they had to wake up super early and do all that training and stuffWe didn't go to an actual army base, but we did have an army officer come in and talk to us about the military and he was talking about all that stuff like it was a positive and made men MEN .
I swear they were trying to make us not want to join lol
Because moving to another country cost a lot of money. I swear you ask the dumbest questionsSo are you saving up to move, then?
We didn't go to an actual army base, but we did have an army officer come in and talk to us about the military and he was talking about all that stuff like it was a positive and made men MEN .I had two, well technically three if you count the optional ASVAB you can take which I did, Army recruiter interactions in high school.
All of us students basically looked at each other and went "Yeah, not joining the military when we grow up."
Don't answer on his behalf. I want to hear it from him. Then why did you ignore his post and go straight to that one?
So are you saving up to move, then? You have no idea what goes into moving to another country do you.
I had heard that going into the PR tract of any armed service was considered one of the most undesired tracts in general.I mean, most people who want to join the military, want to fight (or at least do something 'cool' ) not be propagandists. Also it can be hard to turn people who have been heavily propagandized, into good propagandists.
It would seem to add up that the Army has poor PR/recruiting ads when most people avoid doing that in the first place.
If you feel that way, why live here?
brainwashed
Anyways. This isn't true. The benefits are great. You get to go to college for free, if you get a disability, you're paid for life, and you get military discounts.
Don't join the military.
The benefits aren't that great.
The chance of ptsd(even for non combatants) is high.
Even the thirst trapping is a lie.
The military has a massive gender imbalance.
This isn't true. The benefits are great. You get to go to college for free, if you get a disability, you're paid for life, and you get military discounts. After wasting 4 years at minimum.
After wasting 4 years at minimum. How old are you? 4 years is nothing, and you can gain a lot of life skills in that time, along with making great friendships, and good money.
Those military benefits are shit.
How old are you? 4 years is nothing, and you can gain a lot of life skills in that time, along with making great friendships, and good money.Bro is so brainwashed lol.
After wasting 4 years at minimum.3*
Those military benefits are shit.
Bro is so brainwashed lol.I'm the voice of experience. I've been out of the military since 2015. Enlisting as a 19 year old was the best move I could have made.
I'm the voice of experience. I've been out of the military since 2015. Enlisting as a 19 year old was the best move I could have made. It's the worst move most people have ever made which is why so many people are not joining.
It's the worst move most people have ever made which is why so many people are not joining.Because working fast food gives better benefits than VA medical care, free college, military discounts, disability, and the ability to connect with people.
Thankfully younger generations have access to more information and can weed out the propaganda.
People see the way Pepys behaves on here and legitimately think he was in the military? Can you extrapolate on this "argument"? I got my college degree because of the Army. I never would have gone to college if I didn't join.
People see the way Pepys behaves on here and legitimately think he was in the military?Yes. Absolutely.
This isn't true. The benefits are great. You get to go to college for free, if you get a disability, you're paid for life, and you get military discounts.Just casually dropping in if you get a disability lmfao
If we had competent people managing this shit and put the military contractors in their place we could trim tens of billions easily with zero negative impact on operations.
you can gain a lot of life skills in that time
and good money.
The risks and lasting effects isn't worth it for some and don't blame kids today with more options out there.Try asking a genuine question why people aren't joining.
