Nah. Oda has been consistently releasing chapters since the beginning with only the occasional break of a few weeks to recover. It's more that he bloats later arcs with a million new characters such that a single One Piece arc is longer than most whole manga.
edit: for context, Season 1 adapted 95 chapters and covered 5 arcs. The last finished arc, Wano, was itself 191 chapters and ran from 2018 to 2022.
