I doubt they'd go that far. I'm expecting this to be regarding using balls/spheres as capture devices(which is still absolutely ridiculous, don't get me wrong). Not sure what else they feel like they can sue over

Looking over the Patent list they have, I think they're suing over the idea of throwing capture devices over a third person perspective.

They also have a patent that is the equivalent of how Dynamic Flying Mounts in WoW work as well (the idea that a mount is ground based until it takes to the air, then becomes flying based until it lands again, once again becoming ground based), so never say never with how far TPC will go to try to claim ownership over ideas to try to kill any competition. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they did try to copyright ownership over the genre of this succeeds.

The biggest irony in the second patent is they Guild Wars 2 did all that first before either WoW or Pokemon with its Griffon Mount in Path of Fire.
