Since Im losing weight, I want to start improving other aspects of my body. Right now, I have a lot of loose skin from the weight loss, and I want to get rid of it. Ive been quoted anywhere between $3,000 to $10,000 for the procedure. Unless I can prove that this loose skin is a health risk, Ill need to save up for it since I dont have that kind of money...like at all.

Im also considering getting hair implants. I still have hair, but its thinning, which isnt great.

Additionally, Im looking into getting braces. I wish I could get a height-increasing operation, but I know thats out of the question.

I've had nothing done. If I was rich, I'd maybe get micropigmentation done rather than a hair transplant.

I don't mind the bald look, would just like it filled in.
My hair is too far gone to consider hair implants. Have never considered cosmetic surgery of anything else.
...I think I'm done here...
Closest I've had to cosmetic surgery is electrolysis to permanently get rid of my facial and body hair.
My brother got hair transplant surgery a few years ago. He researched meticulously and went with the (apparently highly regarded in the hair loss community) Cortez brothers in Tijuana, Mexico. He was really happy with the results and I must say his hair looks good.

He lives in Los Angeles so the travel was easy for him, but he said it cost considerably less than going to Turkey for the procedure as many do, and waaaaay cheaper than getting it done in Southern California. All for comparable quality work.

if your hair hasn't been going for too long (don't know where the cutoff is sorry) you can save it by getting on finasteride instead of going through hair transplants. Takes a while to notice any change and you have to stay on it for as long as you care but it's not that expensive.

Never had anything done, but the people I know that have had a procedure, get it done in Mexico or the Phillipines. Look into medical tourism.

Thanks all and I will look into finasteride. Get my weight under control skin removed. Maybe a tummy tuck. Braces teeth whiting it. Maybe get some lifts and I will be on the ball.

I got braces at 32 years old, should be getting them off in the next few weeks.

Probably best to try for Invisalign if the price increase isn't too bad.

I tried getting cosmetic surgery on one part of my body that is extremely wrinkly, but they wouldnt do it which is nuts

I actually remembered: I got veneers on most of my upper teeth, which counts as cosmetic treatment. But my teeth were in pretty bad shape.

This is the most I would ever do, at least for body. Implants of any type, or any other cosmetic surgery has a very bad stigma in my eyes. I wouldnt even want to date someone if I knew they had it done.
No matter our origin, we are all one family, we all share one planet, and we all need to feel loved and accepted. We are more alike than different.

Ask your doctor about JAK inhibitors as well. Many doctors treating for hair loss are pivoting over to these. Litfulo came out last year and is FDA approved for alopecia, so most insurances will cover it without issue. If they don't, then Pfizer has a program that will pay for it once your insurance denies it

Yeah, I know a lot of people who got work done in Mexico, and it was quality work. They're all happy.

I got a hair transplant in the US. Cost me about $6500, which I put under Care Credit and paid it off after a few years. I don't regret it. The hair they put in is guaranteed to live the rest of my life. Now I just take finasteride to keep the non-transplanted hair from falling off.

Overall, I think it's one of the best decisions I ever made. My confidence skyrocketed when I lost the receding hairline.
Congratulations! Your post was deemed response-worthy.

If possible post a pic of at least your hair please. Block out your face or just photo the hairline if you are uncomfortable showing your face. Obviously you dont have to post anything, I have just wanted to see how it looks for someone and not a commercial before and after which can be faked.

Here's a before and after pic. You can see the line where they worked to fill in the receding areas. The front line is much fuller than it was before.

Thank you.

Ill probably be getting some work done in the future, especially if its covered by insurance.

Braces and Invisalign are partially covered by many insurances but it can get tricky. Check with your insurance provider. I paid for a good portion of mine out of pocket and had some covered by insurance.

I can't speak on the skin surgery.

Hair transplants vary wildly based on location, doctor, and technique. IIRC you're a black guy so that would be another consideration because typically black people's hair has a different shaped follicle. It is possible to go the Turkey route but generally you get what you pay for, so buyer beware.

I remember you posting pics. Have you grown your hair out any more or still rocking the buzz?

Thanks everyone for the hair lose treatment ideas. I can't wait until I fix myself up. I called these people call RESTORE before they help I am Deion Sanders get his hair back. I am going to Hair Club for men over the weekend. I will bring up some of the things you guys talked about.

I'm pretty sure Hair Club for Men is a wig/tupee company, but maybe they do other stuff for hair loss, too. Those options get expensive very fats. I'd suggest talking to a doctor.

I tried this year but wasnt eligible due to my bad donor area, and how overall severe my hair loss is :/

I got LASIK 2 years prior which was the best thing I ever brought and soon will have crown installed into my teeth to close a gab between my two front teeth.

Along with a crap ton of other issues with my mouth thats going to cost a ton.

I've actually grown it quite long. After all, I paid for it, so might as well flaunt it, lol. My hair stylists are always complimenting me on it. They can't tell it's a transplant so that speaks to its quality.

Long that is neat, I really want to get my hair like this ?

I am lose self esteem loser, so I worry about stuff too much. Don't let the idea of loose skin slow you down one bit. Loose skin is better than the alternative.
