Tried to upgrade 2 phones last night with Verizon. Right now I get:
$1000 trade in towards a new phone
Free watch (but you have to buy a plan)
Free tablet (same as watch)
$200 Verizon gift card (can't use on this transaction)
My phone goes through fine. My wife's phone doesn't get the $1000 trade in value, only like $285. I call to ask why, and am redirected twice.
Find out that at some point, I didn't accept the $1000 trade in offer. I'm sure this is false, but whatever. They have to cancel the whole order, and re-enter it on their side, so that the deal works. Fine.
Canceling takes 24 hours, so they have to call me today. But, this morning I get notification that my order has shipped. What? They canceled it last night.
Well, as long as the billing all works out, whatever. I check the shipping notification. My wife's trade in is canceled, and the watch I got is nowhere to be seen.
Why is this so difficult?
