Meganium probably got the least use out of everyone on the team. Swampert carried most fights with Alakazam coming in every now and then. Pidgeot mostly for double battles so Earthquake wouldn't kill me. Just swapped Pidgeot for Rayquaza though. That bike puzzle was horrible and I don't think I could've done it without save states.

Nice! I just finished up my playthrough too.

It was so fun that I'm already itching to do that 2nd playthrough on hard mode. I already have team ideas for it too. This time, I might actually keep my starter for the whole playthrough instead of boxing it for something else! Sorry about that, Mudkip.

Awesome! Congrats! You definitely have a cooler team than me. Who's that in the lower left?

That's Kleavor, an alternate Bug/Rock-type evolution of Scyther that debuted in Legends Arceus. I mentioned earlier (back in post #20) that this was the first time I could ever use one in a playthrough since I didn't buy Legends Arceus.

Oh nice! That's definitely one of the newer ones I wanted to check out. Scyther was always a cool mon and both the evos seem cool too.

Yeah, that whole family is great. Scizor is probably still better overall (and this ROM hack lets you use it in a playthrough without needing to deal with a trade evolution) but I wanted to use Kleavor because I had never used one before. Or you could just keep it a Scyther and give it the Eviolite for a big defense boost. That's also a thing you can do in this game.

Whoever thought of adding in an item to made trade mons evolve was a freaking genius. I think they had it in Violet/Scarlet too. Huge game changer. Was so mad as a kid not being able to get certain ones because my friends and I never had a link cable that worked.

The Linking Cord was introduced in Legends Arceus because that game was purely singleplayer and didn't have a way to trade. Sadly, they didn't bring it back in Scarlet/Violet, but it might be back in Legends Z-A if that game is also purely singleplayer. ROM hacks implementing it is a godsend though. And for trade evolutions that require trading while holding a certain item (like trading Scyther while holding the Metal Coat to evolve it to Scizor) they usually change it so you just use the item on the Pokemon directly. Emerald Seaglass is one of those that made that change.

This topic inspired me to check out the game, and wow! I love it.
I'll tell you where the real road lies: Between your ears, behind your eyes. That is the path to Paradise, and, likewise, the road to ruin.
Hmm. Maybe it was Unbound that had it too. I could've sworn it was a game I played on my Switch though, which was Violet and a short bit of Sword at a friends.

It's a great hack! What team are you rolling with so far?
