Not at their age. Its funny that wackyteen mentions taxes because one of them was bitching about filing the other and was blaming Biden for doubling the standard deduction for some reason. One of my other coworkers surprisingly corrected her.
A lot of people are programmed to think anything to do with taxes is bad. Literally to think "my money is being taken from me!"
I might be mildly wrong that they wouldn't understand, though they'll probably only understand if it passes and they see a $50+ decrease from their normal paychecks. Some may never notice (I probably wouldn't) but for some that'll make a difference
