Musk is trying to destroy the country economically because wealthy elites benefit from recessions and depressions. Their competitors fail, they buy them out, and when the economy rebounds there's less competition in general which gives them a greater market share, giving them a greater market share. During the great depression the major movie studios bought all the failed independent movie theaters so that they could dictate which movies were and weren't shown on those screens to their benefit.
Trump wants to destroy this country as punishment for daring to try and hold him accountable for his criminality and his actions speak as much. He is doing things which largely only make sense if he's punishing the nation as a whole.
While this likely is true, what the hell is wrong with the senators and representatives allowing them to do it?
