Gaming being treated differently than any other hobby continues to really annoy me.
1.I play video games a lot, and have ever since Atari 2600. I have also been a practicing lawyer for 20 years, married for 25 years, raised two great kids, and have great friends. In other words, I have somehow managed to lead an ordinary life even with a hobby. Just like most people.
2.Part of my law practice is helping individuals with severe disabilities get medicaid services so they can live at home and/or dont die. Over the last 20 years, it is not a stretch to say I have met over 1,000 people on Medicaid. None of them are sitting on their asses playing video games or doing anything else. They are all suffering and need help that a super rich society could provide if its priorities were at all in order.
3.Oh wait, Johnson says we are only talking about work requirements, not cutting other Medicaid!!!! Yeah right. Leaving aside that every word that comes from MAGA is a blatant lie, work requirements for Medicaid would only save a paltry amount in the context of the federal budget. To achieve the savings Trump wants, there have to be deep cuts to Medicaid. I hope a Congress not eager to explain that to their districts will not allow it, but the idea that the grand savings they envision can be accomplished with work requirements is a blatant fantasy/lie.
4.Mike Johnson is such a fucking dope. Congratulations on being even easier to manipulate than Kevin McCarthy, your only apparent qualification for your current job.
An opinion does not turn into a fact simply because the person holding it feels strongly about it.
