Purely on its combat and boss fights alone, honestly. It's got its low points but damn if the music, bosses, and Eikon fights weren't top tier. Check out this no-damage run against the Time Keeper (guy also has other no damage boss runs).

There are a lot of things I wish it did differently, but damned if it doesn't have some of the hypest moments of any Final Fantasy game.

Just beat it recently!

I'm not sure how itd hold up on a replay with the Wow Factor diminished, but had a genuinely good time 100%ing it

I had fun with it, some of the boss fights were astonishing cinema.

good, but flawed, game, IMO.

the story faltered off after about halfway, but I still really liked the characters so I overall enjoyed it.

It has low lows but really high highs. It's a good 7.5/10 game that I would push up to 8. Side quests are a drag, lack of any form of RPG stats is annoying, and no real challenge are my biggest issues. Ending made me cry.
