I've been supporting Spurs purely because their vibes were fun at times and I just really like Son Heung Min
It's been one of the most disappointing sports watching experience ever for the last several months. They're 17th out of 20 teams in the Premier League, and they're only safe from relegations because the bottom 3 teams are just that much worse. Funny enough, they're the only positive goal difference out of the bottom teams. They hit multiple club historical records of losses, plagued by a ton of injuries and an inflexible system
Then they randomly just... won Europa, a 2nd tier tournament. In 1st tier, there's only Champion's League (and maybe World Cup? it's different though), so winning a 2nd tier is actually a huge deal
The coach, Ange Postecoglu, claimed on August of last year that no matter where he went, he won a trophy on his 2nd year. And well, on his 2nd year, he just won a cup, becoming the first Aussie manager to ever win a European trophy. I'm over the moon right now. Still riding the high
