I'm just praying SW FL can get
one year
without another direct impact or storm surge event so my folks can get their house sold and move inland.
Sadly this won't change much for me personally, because I always assume any system will turn into a major hurricane. I never believed the initial forecasts that for a solid week and a half claimed Milton would be nothing more than a weak 'rain-maker' tropical system. My motto is 'whatever they predict at the outset, add at least 2 categories,' and over the past eight years I've been right way more often than I've been wrong.
Simple questions deserve long-winded answers that no one will bother to read.
