The 26th CE Steam Sale Event - Summer 2025 Edition - Topic 3

That's awesome. Can't say I'm a huge fan of Skyrim, more of a Morrowind kind of guy, but I don't mind booting it up for a modded run every so often.

I quite liked my time with Grablue Fantasy Relink, I was super interested in Versus a while back, but as much as I like fighting games, the time and patience to learn so many of them just isn't there. Shame, because GF Versus looks really cool.

GBVSR has a free version with a weekly rotation of free characters if you just wanna try it. It has one button specials and two button supers in addition to motion inputs, so it's super accessible even to fighting game newbies like me. It isn't even really an "anime fighter" like some other arc sys games, it's really more like Street Fighter with an anime coat of paint. I recommend at least trying the free version if you're not comfortable dropping money on it yet, I played free version for a solid five weeks before buying in.

Played some Alpha Protocol tonight, got into Ming's good books, absolutely went for the bonus round in orientation, was a good time.

I had truly forgotten how janky the game can feel though, made me laugh.

So, what have you all been playing recently, before the sale?

I was quite into that Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time. Very enjoyable game, around 14 lives or "jobs" to level and gear up. Quite a cute little art-style too, didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I was.

I've been playing Persona 3 Reload. Just beat the final boss right now. Will wrap up the cutscenes tomorrow and then move on to Episode Aigus. Great game. I think like the cast most of 3-5.

Go to the column that says "Gifts received" and look for a 0

Worth noting that atm all the 0 gift receivers may not actively be in the topics. Looking over it, looks like they might all be still in the spreadsheet from previous years cuz I don't remember seeing them post yet. It was between that and Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 for Father's Day over here in the UK, and I went with Fantasy Life, can't say I regret it, even if I know I'll love KCD2 based on the original.

I've also been abusing whatever free time I have to play REMATCH. It's the Fifa Pro Clubs + Fifa Street I didn't know I was pining for.
