One thing I learned long ago, is that TVTropes is a great source of wasting an afternoon chaining one thing to something else. The "Shout Out" section, in particular, went a long way to linking games.
That's what I did too, but I had blind spots of my own. Like, I knew there was already a GTA reference in Cyberpunk, so I automatically went with that instead of Balatro because I didn't know there was a Balatro reference added (semi) recently, which I probably would have used that to bring me to the Jimbo cards for instance.
Also I didn't realize we could go into multimedia like Indiana Jones, probably would have been able to fit another couple in there with that knowledge, but no fucking shot at 70.
