It's pretty solid, but easily the weakest in the series.

The 3DS game is easily the worst in the series by a country mile. I doubt the remake fixed any of its problems.
Kind reminder not to defend corporations when they make dumb/anti-consumer decisions.

I never played the HD version myself, but I have played original 3DS version and I wasn't much of a fan of it. A watered-down sequel with a disappointing cast of ghosts and a tacked-on mission structure, with its difficulty level making the Kirby franchise look like Crash Bandicoot (especially the upgrade system).

Not a bad game, but after having played the predecessor on GameCube, I was disappointed.

It's an enjoyable game, with some memorable moments... albeit a bit simple.
I can definitely see why people were disappointed with it, it makes some awkward changes compared to the first game. But taken by itself, it's not bad.

Or rather, that's my opinion on the 3DS one. I haven't played the HD version.

only played the 3DS version and its the worst luigis mansion game

It's alright (if you haven't played the 3DS version). You should buy it when it's on sale for $40 or so, though.

I played the original DS version, beat it, will never play it again, not even HD version.

I think it's pretty good, but it's not $60 good. Note I also did not like it on 3DS, but I was more prepared for the episodic structure on my second play through so it bothered me less.

If you're craving some LM, I think it's worth a spin. But it's nowhere near a most play imo.
