Kemco has put out a surprising number of budget-friendly RPGs over the years, especially on mobile and the Switch eShop. Theyre usually short, straightforward, and kind of charming despite their recycled assets. Do you play them for the comfort-food factor, or do you think theyre just too samey?

ive played some years ago and they were all pretty shit. they publish stuff from multiple devs so the quality varies a bit but it's still generally all garbage

i saw a few new ones i could've bought for my backlog. but then i saw they started wanting 14$ for each game instead of 12-13$ so that choice was out for now.

Even then, it's not a real rpg until you have put over 200 hours into it.

It looks like they are all trying to be better than Tecmo Secret of the Stars and that's about it without much charm either.

I'd love to try one that seems worth the effort, or price of admission, but so many rpg maker games often out there are just as cheap/free or better.
Today's the same as ever.
I played the shit out of Drakkhen as a kid, though I didn't really get the mechanics of it until much later.
