I did shy away from it for a while because im black and it does scream plantation era but I finally tried it a few years back and its killing Waffle House and IHOP as far as those types of restaurants go I never been to dennys they dont have many in the south

It's fine. Their family meals are pretty handy.
The food here is terrible. My steak was so tough it attacked my coffee and the coffee was too weak to defend itself.

Cracker Barrel is indeed pretty good

Apparently, in 2004, they were successfully sued by the NAACP for being racist towards Black customers. They made changes to their hiring and service process. Pretty shitty, but better late than never.

But then, in 2025, they're now being sued by "America First Legal" (we know who runs that shit) for having DEI policies.

You really can't win, huh.

I liked it. My local IHOP sucks and is really expensive. I prefer Dennys if im on the road and dont want to test a new spot.

Edit: I only ate the breakfast.

They don't have any locations in Los Angeles, so I've never had it. But yeah, it does give me that "old timey" impression in a bad way lol.

Cracker Barrel is one of the better places for breakfast, and thats all I order there. We go there any time we have a doctors appointment over where the nearest one is.
