This is actually really neat to learn for me. I'm pretty sure I've played the ALttP randomizer hundreds of times over the years by now and I always go to the Chris Houlihan Room when I start for a quick 225 rupees.

From what I understand, some weren't sure if he was real because he's never come forward or said anything about the contest, whereas other contest winners supposedly have. I can't confirm this either way, myself, it's just what I saw when searching around for more info.

Yeah, this was always known to be a real person that won a contest. The only new information from this is that Chris didn't actually enter the contest, it was his dad. That's a neat piece of backstory to this whole thing.
