The biggest problem with the modern day stuff is it's always building up to something huge but it always ended up being a wet fart when they actually got to it.This for sure. I remember being intrigued by it to start, then let down, then just straight up annoyed at how the modern day stuff just completely slowed down the game and took me from anything I actually wanted to be doing in the game.
