Still for me, beats not being able to enjoy Yu-Gi-Oh.
There is no such thing as paper play where I live.
I also have no option for paper play near me (my nearest local is an hour away) but I still have a limit for how much unfun toxicity I could tolerate from MD before I quit. If I really feel like getting the itch to play Yu-Gi-Oh, I'd rather reinstall Legacy of the Duelist and play the AI's in that game than deal with MD's current format. I have other games I can play anyways.

edit: oh, it is something as a result of Mitsurugi, a very JP-themed theme given birth in the same land that did this emergency banlist.
Ironically, despite being so heavily Japanese-themed, Mitsurugi actually started as a TCG-exclusive archetype. The OCG only just got the cards last month, 8 months after it premiered in the TCG and 4 months after the 2nd wave of support with Habakiri made it really good.
