It's pretty fucking bad tbh and this is coming from someone who never had much of an attatchment to the previous Skate games. I played most of the preview builds including the finalized pre-release test. The actual skating mechanics are fun but literally every other aspect of the game is so bad that it doesn't make it worthwhile. It really feels like an expanded mobile game.

They gave such little fucks that most of the character dialogue is indistinguishable from AI and the in-game AI assistant has better dialogue and "VO" than the actual characters.
It is what it is, man.

The way I've seen people talking about the game online it didn't seem like a bad game at all. Very goofy yeah, but not bad.

It's a shame because the actual mechanics are pretty damn good and has a lot of potential for more things and tricks to be added in the future.

The city is not too bad either but literally every single other aspect of the game is atrocious. Especially the dialogue. They did not consult with any real skaters because there is zero actual skate culture represented in the game.

And don't get me started on the microstransactions. It's clear this game was designed as a store first.

I haven't seen any gameplay footage. Is the dialogue that bad? Because the series has a history of bad dialogue "That was buttery!".
