Through a modern lens this stuff is ridiculous

Goes around destroying tombs, setting shit on fire, stealing artifacts from native people to put in american museums etc.

I remember I was taking a community college class on something similar to archeology. I think it was called sociology. Or something. But the teacher went on a rant about that incident. I think the big shot was British and she said British archeologists think they are superior to American ones. And often do crazy shit like that. Just boss people around
