Saudi Arabia could be doing much worse than hosting a huge comedy show Imo.

Also...Jesse Owen's won 4 golds at the Olympics in Berlin just before WW2...

I feel like a lot of the people lionizing Burr haven't seen a lot of his material. A lot of his stuff comes down to "Every man for himself."

I recall him doing an interview on Conan where he jokingly (kind of) stood up for Lance Armstrong, more or less saying, "Everyone in those sports does doping, so is it really that bad? Roided up Lance beat roided up everyone else, big deal."

This fundamentally undermines his entire image. Like he'll probably have funny jokes in the future. He'll probably make salient opinions about shitty people I'll agree with. But from now on it will always ring hollow and the fact that he's trying to talk his way out of it, which just further white washes the Saudi regime, only makes it worse. Like if he just said he did it for a fat check, he'd still be a hypocrite but he'd at least be an honest one.

Am I going to try and cancel him? No, if a movie/show comes out that I'm interested in includes him, I won't avoid it but I'm certainly not going out of my way to seek him out anymore.
