It sounds like they fucked it up. So probably not. If it had all 13 clans playable I'd be more inclined. But it sounds like only a handful of clans are playable. Which is lame

We'll see, my expectations are pretty low. I can't think of a game with a less auspicious development history, and from the trailers, it seems like they've more or less much abandoned the spirit of the first game, though I'd be happy to be proven wrong (or to buy it for $5 in a year or so if it flops).
Thus I became a madman.

yes I will because the first game is one of my all time favorite games and I love the setting in terms of roleplaying and lore. my choice isn't if i'm getting it, but will I get it on release or on sale

I hope it's at least a good "guilty pleasure" of a game. It's doesn't have to be a great RPG or anything, just give me some sexy vampires in it doing vampire things and I'm good.

Eventually. I am a big fan of the series, and I was the person that got the boards set up here when it was first announced by petitioning the admins to make one, years ago (they dragged their feet after the initial announcement for some reason), but Im not a fan with the direction Paradox and the Chinese Room have taken it. I was really looking forward to a true, Brian Mitsoda sequel, so Im holding off for now, and I will pick it up and play somewhere down the line. I still play the tabletop campaigns fairly regularly with friends, so Im not dying for VtM content right now, especially if it isnt looking to be what I would prefer for the series as a video game.

I do wonder if we'll learn why he left or didn't come back with the new developer.

I'll get the game at some point though as it doesn't look as bad as I thought it would be but the development hell and then some makes me very wary.
