Gut it and remodel the inside to actually be useful.

I imagine from the outside it won't be a COMPLETE eye sore even if the inside is likely to be a complete gaudy golden mess.

We'll see, I imagine it'll be bad but not nearly as bad as it would be if it was going to be say an addition to Mar a Lago.

Of course I could be completely wrong and then my opinion will be to just tear it the fuck down instead of just remodelling.

I'm all for repurposing, and I would even suggest dedicating it to Trump.

In this, you would hang pictures of Trump, and quotes such as (and pardon me for whatever I get wrong):

"I love the poorly educated"

And also fit it with lots of mixed gender toilet stalls so that anyone who needs can do their business in the most appropriate room in the WH for it.

In fact, if government funds were used in a way that didn't piss off the right, there's probably something wrong with that appropriation.

And getting rid of Trump's ballroom is not a nothing burger. That ballroom is a stepping stone on the road to a Presidential Palace.

Partition it and split into 2 floors. Offices, statecraft rooms, a museum, FLOTUS infra, etc. and maybe a tiny event space that ends the tent system.
