9 runs in one inning is the 2nd most in World Series history

Detroit scored 10 in the 3rd in 1968 and the Philadelphia Althletics also scored 10 in the 7th in 1929

Also Ohtani became just the 2nd Japanese-born player to ever hit a HR in the World Series

Ahh, I didn't even see there was another topic. I got held up a little 'cause every time I looked for a clear and concise schedule, it had ads or other garbage on the page. All I really had beforehand was the topic's joke title.

Also I figured out how the Jays are cheating (in response to the allegations from the last topic). They're playing in ANOTHER COUNTRY. The rules clearly state that all games of Muricaball must be played in Murica, otherwise the lack of freedom in the air influences the integrity of the ball.

It doesn't surprise me how the game went. I figured going in, that the well rested team was gonna come out of the gate flat. And the Blue Jays got the right amount of rest going into the World Series. I predicted the Dodgers are likely going to fall into a 0-2 series hole, due to rust.

Which is why I'm so bummed the Mariners couldn't finish off the Blue Jays. Golden opportunity for that franchise to potentially win a world series, squandered after taking a commanding 2-0 series lead.

He understands and even speaks well enough casually, its not like he's talking to his teammates everyday through his translator

He does all his official interviews in Japanese with his translator so that his fans back in Japan can understand what he's saying in interviews, also so that he doesn't accidentally misspeak while trying to give an interview in a language hes not fluent in and say something he didn't actually mean and have the media blow it up (like what happened to that Mets pitcher either this year or last year, I forget)

Sorry, Im just a good sportsman. I played 4 sports growing up, and said GGs and did the expected line up and high-five thing after the game, regardless of what happened.

Although I will rescind the comment in the previous post, because the Packers had reason to boo Favre after he went to the Vikings. But Toronto/LA isnt some hyper-competitive rivalry like those two

I have noticed Dodgers fans like to complain about how the rest of the league fans don't love their team.

Dodgers paying 320+ million for their roster with almost all of Ohtani's money deferred. Yeah, you're gonna get hate. Good on the Dodgers for doing whatever they can do to win, the Jays are a Top 5 payroll team as well I believe. But when you are the evil empire, you're gonna get treated like it.
