Beat Sadler. Tough ass fight since he whooped my ass at the start and I ran out of healing items and then knives to parry. But I had enough arrows to turn the tides. Hope there's no other final boss though cause I'm boned.
Fun final run to the rocket launcher. They really stressed how big a deal the red panted ones were lol.
And that's the game. Lil more Wesker at the end. Got Krauser's body. On to Resident Evil 5 I assume? At this point you can change anything and everything moving forward. I really hope they do. Uroboros is cool. Sheva's cool. Do not do the fucking blonde pale Jill thing. Do not make Chris such a meathead. Maybe make Wesker's plan less stupid where he lives in a world of just goo monsters? Just...do something new if you're gonna do more from here. And obviously take nothing from 6.
And that's it.. Done and dusted. I am finally all caught up with Resident Evil. God damn.
I'll probably post some more thoughts later tonight or tomorrow, but as for Separate Ways, it's a great fucking piece of DLC. A real companion piece to 4make. It doesn't add anything to the story really which is my only knock against it, but it offers a lot of good ass gameplay and has a story that fits perfectly into the main game. Taking parts from the OG and just giving them to Ada sounds kinda crappy on paper, but I think they did a great job with it. Nothing felt missing or tacked on or held back. Everything flowed superbly. The lab with the lasers felt a bit out of place and rushed and I coulda used an interaction with Krauser or someone else, but everything else? Very satisfied. Like the original Separate Ways, it is just

RE4 to play, but unlike the original this had more variety and fun to it. Everything with IT, the Gigante fight at the farm, Ada just being able to zip around more.
I think the original 4 is the better game overall with the remake doing a lot of things better than it and really holding its ground against one of the greatest games of all time which is insanely impressive. But Separate Ways is a complete blowout. This is a massive improvement than the original and far superior. And that only makes the overall package of the OG vs. Remake that much closer. An argument could easily be made that 4make & Separate Ways are better and I'd be fine with that statement.
Thanks to everyone who posted in here and talked Resident Evil with me. Doing these topics for Mass Effect, RE and Silent Hill over the years just clicked. I get passionate fans with strong opinions and a lot of knowledge on the games to chat with as I get to experience some all time games for the first time. Appreciate everyone who contributed and partook in the discussion.
I guess there's nothing more now but to wait for Resident Evil Requiem with the rest of you.
