We'll need to wait and see more after how it affects races across the country. What works in NYC doesn't necessarily translate elsewhere. Bill de Blasio winning way back when was also a really positive sign for progressives after like....20 years of Repulican mayors and that didn't end so great either.

I'm HEAVILY paying attention to this. If there's an election in 2028, any democrat campaigning on "let's bring the country together!" should be disqualified and thrown in prison.

Yeah, there are always going to be people who are upset because they expected sweeping change to happen faster than it realistically can, but even if the best he can manage is incremental progress that's still progress and it's better than leaders who are fine with maintaining the status quo and a lot better than leaders who are actively making things worse.
