I can't think of many careers where you are aged out from the start.

More often it's due to physical health and wellbeing.

I say go for it if that's what you want to do and are capable.

As someone in it, it's more about your health and how well you can move around honestly. A lot of them are physically taxing so it's recommended to stay in decent shape, even if just hauling around heavy shit by hand.

I switched from retail to commercial electrical work 4 years ago (I'm 37 now). Best decision I ever made and honestly wished I'd jumped ship sooner. Great job, awesome coworkers, benefits, and a great company.
