Love his stuff.
It's weird, I'm subbed to a bunch of creators in Japan but I've never heard of the person he's calling out. And they've apparently got quite the following.
Are you subbed to John Daub aka Only in Japan?Hadn't heard of 'em but the videos look interesting. Might check 'em out later.
A guy who got popular on instagram for just yelling at Chinese and Black tourists who mistreated the Nara deer has a house seat now when that's his only "qualification."I mean, that's basically just Japanese Marjorie Taylor Green.
Live streamer foreigners in Japan are giving visitors to Japan a bad name. I think it all began with Johnny Somali ( and he's now in legal trouble in South Korea for the same stuff he did in Japan)
Not only is there a ton of idiot youtubers destroying property or harassing foreigners for clicks, but there are also a lot spreading misinformation and fear-mongering on social media as well. These are the kind of people that make Japanese citizens want stricter laws on on tourism.
This is that same YouTuber we called out for gifting on here like a year ago when someone posted one of her videos. I guess she's now at the level of literally making fake images.
While it's good to push back against this Trump effect happening in JP it's absolutely wild for him to claim that it was "far dirtier and more dangerous ten years ago."
Great drama.
The video that's being called out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKwzeFoRjaE
In the comments he also calls her out:

They're basically calling each other liars. Loyalists for both party are saying the usual shit such as they're just doing to get clicks, they're jealous of each other, blah blah blah. Guess you won't really know unless you go there and see for yourself.

Guess you won't really know unless you go there and see for yourself. To give some context, what she filmed was the Japanese equivalent of going to Skid Row in LA or East Hastings Street in Vancouver and saying, "Look how terrible North American cities are getting!" - and even then, she had to photoshop in extra graffiti so it would look suitably awful.
Uh, no it isnt.Do you mind if I ask where you've lived? I feel like the only thing I saw in the news 20 years ago was enjo kosai stuff; I didn't exactly live in the inaka but still.
My neighborhood had Yakuza just chilling in the street twenty years ago. They cleaned that up
