I may get it on some heavy discount but it is a very weak entry in the franchise imo

i got the digital deluxe for like 40 bucks on gmg with some discount code i saved for a rainy day
I'll get xillia 2 day one too when that comes out, which they said is happening which thank god

Nah. Played it on ps3.

Its a very mid game and really nothing much to talk about.

if you play it, play as Mila. She is much more interesting than Jude.

Yes. Got my physical pre-ordered at gamestop.

I'm going to just wait a day and pick up my dragon quest 1-2 2D-HD on the same day I'm picking up xillia. (That game releases on thursday. I'm too lazy to make 2 trips to gamestop, and since I didn't beat dragon quest 3 HD yet I can actually wait awhile on opening it up. I just wanted my dragon quest 1-2 disc).

I would want a heavy discount as well. I would like to have the games on current console but I spent so much time playing them.

i tend to bite at 50% off on most purchases.

exceptions can be made depending on the situation (xillia is wait for a sale).

Depending on where and when I post this, this is either a very cold take or a very hot one. I think this one is better than Xillia 2, Xillia 2 is one my least favorite if not my least favorite Tales game.

I'll probably get this, but I'm in the middle of a bunch of games at the moment and we're a few weeks away from major sales. So I'll hold off for now.

Got my physical pre-ordered already. I'll play through as Milla this time, as I beat the game as Jude on PS3.
Face it Cloud is a gaming icon and has appered in lots of games while mario has only appeared in 2 games sunshine and 64 ~xSlashbomBx

I already platinum'd the PS3 version and I don't have much motivation to replay it. I might consider it if the Switch version is good this time around (spoilers: it won't be)

I prefer Mila too but I seem to remember you end up skipping like a whole dungeon and some bosses if you play as her. Game was clearly meant for you to play as Jude on your first play through.

No but it is my 2nd favorite Tales game. However I simply for the most part don't go back and replay games so I don't get remasters unless I haven't played them previously and missed them for some reason. Also don't typically have interest in remakes either for what its worth.

Got platinum on it on ps3 so have done everything there is to do.

I brought this up last time it was talked about, but it was the game I was playing the night I found my wife dead. I haven't been able to touch it since. I tried, I really did, but I just can't. I hope y'all enjoy it though, and they didn't mess it up because it really was a good one.

Ive been playing Tales since Destiny and Xillia is one of my favorites. I definitely looking forward to playing it again.
Favorite series: Super Robot Wars, Dragon Quest, Fire Emblem, Tales, Megami Tensei, FF (I-X), Suikoden, Lunar, Phantasy Star, Shining Force, SoulCal, and more!

As someone who skipped the ps3 Tales and only came back to the franchise after they finally released Vesperia, I have been debating wondering about going back to replay some of the ones I skipped, especially now that I'm rpg starved.

But the posts don't seem encouraging. I gleaned some of the gameplay to see if I would like it, but I dunno. Plus people warned I would dislike it if good/interesting characters are an important factor for me.

to me personally the cast in the xillias are some of the best as is the gameplay

It's just not a great game. I beat it once and barely remember anything about it other than it being very short for a Tales game. Like 30 hours max.

Im not sure. I beat it when it came out on PS3 and found the overall experience to be mediocre. Honestly, I didnt even beat the Graces f remaster.
F-Zero GX is a masterpiece.

I cant speak for others but Both games turned me off from the franchise entirely. I loved graces and thought xillia would be just as great. It wasnt, nor the sequel either.

It felt like a forgettable, boring and dated game to me even by ps2 era standards. Couldnt get through half of either.

Nope, have the PS3 version. I enjoyed it, as someone who played the series since Phantasia, it was the last one I enjoyed enough to complete. But not enough to buy a new version.

The colors and voice quality is a huge improvement with this new release.

R.I.P. those idolmaster costumes for milla, leia and elize. *I was hoping these would be the exception to the no licensed costumes returning. They aren't, lol*

Maaaaan lemme' tell ya', xillia feels so good to play on our modern platforms. The colors is better, the loading might as well be non-existent, and the performance stays locked in at 60 (or 120 for PC).

Tales of xillia has my favorite battle system, and I feel like something like the PS5 brings it to its full potential because of no slowdown. Now I am actually excited to get xillia 2 since the gameplay is so damn good there.
