I have no idea. My favorite anime are

Dragon Ball
Madoka
Both FMAs
Gurren Lagann
Neon Genesis Evangelion

But they all have weird flaws that keep me from saying theyre the goat. I guess Brotherhood is the closest to best of all time, if movies count, Princess Mononoke.

Given the choice of Frieren and Steins;Gate, 100% Steins

Throw FMA:B in there too, it's still Steins

FMA:B is... fine but Frieren fucking sucks

Steins;Gate is "only" an 8/10 for me but it's arguably the best anime typically lauded as "the best ever" that I've seen unless Evangelion is on that list
Not changing this part until Saki Amamiya (or Isa Jo) get into Smash as a playable character
Now watching: Sailor Moon S1

The first Berserk series in the late nineties. The only anime series I could think of that had a big "wow" shock moment, similar to a couple episodes from Game of Thrones. Which I love those episodes, where you're on the edge of your seat, watching anxiously what's going to happen next. Although it had problems like other animes I've watched. This series's main one being it just ends without any resolution to the main plot, as the manga the show was adapting was still on-going at the time. The show also botched not having one major character from the manga in it.

I haven't watched those, but my top 3 "25ish episodes anime" are

my top anime of all time is Lupin III cus there are tons of episodes of it and most of them are good, I can watch it 24/7 on pluto and it'll be weeks before I see an episode for the second time

I voted Frieren but it's scary 'cause it's not over. So the ending could end up being bad or it could possibly not get an ending. I do still think season 1 is basically perfect though.

Time is a funny thing, you know? I guess in the big picture of my life, you were only a blip. But oftentimes, those "blips" make the biggest impacts.

Animating them doesn't remove them. It just puts them in motion.

And go watch Kino's Journey. It's the same as Frieren in that respect.

i like TTGL dont get me wrong

but kill la kill is just better

i enjoy its morals far more

the cast is all amazing

the action is even better than TTGL

and ragyo is one of the best villains of all time
