Video in the OP is a highlight reel

Basically it was just a disaster from a technical standpoint. A lot of sound issues. The stream kept cutting in and out. They revealed Sonic Mania during this stream and it fucking cut out right at the reveal lmao

And then you had a cringe as fuck Crush 40 performance to top it off

Sounds interesting. Tag so I can watch when I get home.

I'm gonna be 100% honest, that stream was simultaneously one of the worst attempts at streaming I've ever seen, while being one of the funniest things I've ever witnessed. I legit never laughed that hard and that much at a event. I remember it like it was yesterday. The Last time Twitch was fun

on EST, the stream was supposed to start at 9pm. As soon the stream started, BTTTZZZZ for a solid HOUR, of various volumes including the occasional ear piercing shriek of audio.

Finally at 10pm the actual event begin, still Bttzzzzing, but it's actually midway into it, and they're rambling about things that people can barely hear, again with the random shriek from hell every few minutes, to the point where it sounded intentional lol

Then, you can hear the muffled excitement as they prepare to show off the Sonic Mania Reveal Trailer annnnnddd the audio cut out mid-trailer, kinda deflating the hype around that announcement. Didn't matter to me though, I was hype fuck about it. However, Sonic fans being Sonic fans , immediately there was a lot of people complaining about 'Another 2D Sonic game' and ' GHZ AGAIN'

They ramble some more until eventually Crush 40 gets there (by this time it's 11pm) and starts singing, and oh boy, that was illegal amounts of dad energy trying to back and forth sing with the audience. They went through what felt like a dozen songs including Knight of the Wind, Live and Learn, All Hail Shadow, etc, and of course there's a poor soul trapped in that Sonic costume all night crying for help in the form of dance.

I don't believe they fixed the audio until around this time, so the songs audio balance is all over the place.

Then they close it off (past 12pm now) with what was perceived as a Sonic Generations 2 trailer and everyone, including the crybabies, was hype again. The end

=======

TL: DR It was fucking chaos, mismanaged, cringe, hype, and hilarious and was the embodiment of the Sonic franchise/ Fanbase.
Personally one of the funniest things I've ever witnessed while also being one of the most hype. In the end we got the best Sonic game since S3&K

The supercut does not do it justice for how insane is was to witness a multi million dollar company fumble a planned event with it's silly fanbase for 3-4 hours straight on a Friday night, LIVE

Yeah this is the only thing I remember

That, and that they later referenced this incident in Sonic Mania itself (after beating the Studiopolis Act 2 boss)
