Goat story and characters, goat art style, goat music, goat nintendo ds gimmick.

I was so sad when cing went bankrupt, they'd find more audience in the steam era.

It is definitely one of the best visual novels out there.

It is one of my favourite DS titles.
Against stupidity, the gods themselves contend in vain.
Last Window is better though

Loved the game.
Up to no good searching for tomorrow
Misunderstood when you're headed straight into the flames
I hear the sequel went a paranormal route
Don't like it? Don't watch it. It's that simple
Dictator of Nice Guys
I liked its sequel Last Window even more

Nah. It was a fun, quirky title that I really enjoyed, but definitely not one of the best games ever. It does have a great story, a nifty art style and good-not-great characters, but there's not a lot of game to the game. The conversation sim parts are literally one strike you're out, and then the puzzles are either braindead or, in the case of the circuit breaker, total garbage. Then there's the suffocation part where the time limit is so short you literally just have to already know what you're supposed to do. By no means did I hate the game, mind you. It just has a lot of room left for improvement.

Another DS game from the same company, by the name of Trace Memory, though, definitely is one of the best games ever. It used the DS hardware a lot better, it had satisfying puzzles, and I think I actually like the story and setting even more. The characters are again good-not-great, but it's a bit of a nitpick really.

Weird because i find trace memories great, it has nothing on HD:215.

I remember solving the mystery as the night goes on in the small hotel, unraveling every secrets of the guests, layers by layers, along with excellent jazz soundtrack was really sublime. It had that "the longest night" feeling that i love in story telling. The same with games like batman: arkham asylum and ghost trick. Just love that type of games.

Posting here as one of the few people that got to play Hotel Dusk 2 as well, was happy I got the opportunity.

It's a nice game, I'm glad I played it all those years ago.

I never got to play 2, but you're right about it being a nice game. It was an impulse buy off the Walmart bargain rack for me that was totally worth it.
