there's a lot of poll topics here and i never vote in them, just randomly comment and then fuck off after asserting my dominance. is that wrong? it feels american to not vote but have an opinion.

I usually don't do this, but I often pick poll options that want you to explain, but I never post in the topic.

I mean, most of the time it's not even that it's a particularly rare situation, the poll options are often just poorly made.

it's perfectly fine. there is no law against it
and if none of the options to vote for seem right not voting for any of them is the right option

I do it on occasion when I just feel like talking but don't actually feel strong enough to vote.

Like, the movie topics, I don't always vote "don't care" because I'd rather not skew the poll, but I enjoy the conversational aspect.
